Which credit cards do you accept?
Visa and Mastercard are accepted, as well as debit cards which bear the Visa or Mastercard logo. Regretfully, American Express, Discover/Novus is not accepted. Back to Top

Can I cancel my order?
Yes, you can, as long as the item has not been shipped. Back to Top

I canceled my order but I haven't received a credit yet. How long do credits take?
We submit all requests for credits within 24 hours of receipt; however, it may take 7-10 business days for you to receive your credit. You should see this on your next credit card statement or the following one, depending on where you are in your billing cycle. Back to Top

Can I return an item that is damaged?
Some merchandise can be returned if damaged for full merchandise less any shipping charges.

Merchandise returned without authorization will be refused, and the carrier will charge you freight in both directions. To avoid a restocking charge, please return your merchandise in the original box and packing materials. Back to Top>

Can I return an item I just don't want?
No. Merchandise purchased can not be returned if you simply do not want the item any longer. Due to health regulations, we are unable to restock these perishable food items. Back to Top>

What happens if the item I ordered is not available?
On occasion, however, an order may be delayed due to availability or other circumstances. In the unlikely event there is a change or delay in filling your order, we will notify you via phone, postal mail or email. You can wait for the new delivery date, or cancel for a full refund at any time prior to shipment. On rare occasions new circumstances come to our attention after the placement of your order. Therefore, we reserve the right to cancel your order for a full refund at any time. Back to Top

Why was I charged sales tax on my purchase?
State tax is applied to an item if Cendant Corporation or the shipping vendor conducts business in the shipping address state. Back to Top

Shipping FAQs

How long will it take to receive my order?
The standard shipping time for orders shipped via USPS ground is 2-10 days, and promotional items should ship in 4-7 days. Back to Top

Can I have an order shipped to my P.O. Box?
No. The vast majority of our merchandise is shipped via USPS, and a valid street address is needed to ensure proper delivery. If a P.O. Box is used as a shipping address, an error message will appear when submitting the order. We also cannot deliver to A.P.O., F.P.O. or foreign addresses. Back to Top

Can I ship my order to a different address?
Yes! When you place your order and come to the Check Out screen, just replace your address with the address you want to ship your merchandise to, then continue. Remember to use a street address, not a Post Office Box, for any shipping address. Back to Top>

Can I, as a customer, choose to call another carrier, ie Fedex, to ship my product?
Yes. You as a consumer can make all/any arrangements with any carrier you choose. Please schedule the pickup at our Medford location (20 Salem Street Medford, MA 02155). You will also need to forward us all the pertant information. You as the consumer are still responsible for the payment of all products and the handling fee of $2.25. Modern Pastry holds the right to use the credit card information provided for the purpose of payment for shipping expenses by your choice of carrier need be any payment on our form. Back to Top

Can I ship products overnight?
Yes you can! If it is a non-perishable item you have nothing to worry about. But, if the product is perishable (able to spoil) we will still ship the product overnight but are not responsible for how it arrives. If the carrier you choose guarantees next day delivery and it does not arrive, you must seek reimbursement from them. We prefer to use our standard shipping account with USPS. Please note that the only carriers to ensure both the product and shipping charges are USPS and Fedex. If the products being ordered are gifts, you are responsible to notify the recipient that a package will be arriving. We also require the recipient's phone number in order to tactfully inform them that a package will be arriving by a certain date. Back to Top

How are shipping charges calculated?
Shipping charges vary according to product type,weight and destination. Shipping charges are pulled directly from standard weight charts offered by each carrier (eg. UPS or USPS-United States Postal Service )

Most products are shipped via UPS (because they offer package insurance and excellent tracking software). Select products offer an express shipping option. In most cases, this rapid delivery requires an additional fee. Back to Top
